Our Nicole Kyz'kin Dom
Nicole was born in Kuz'kin Dom cattery in Mosow on 14.04.2013
Nicole joined us in October 2013. We understood that to take a small kitten could be too much for us since we had two small kids at that time. So we got very interested when our friend suggested us to consider a 6 months Neva cat which was very social and delicate. The cat was originally destined to live in Kuz'kin Dom cattery but due to some circumtances the owner was looking for a new home for Nicole (please see the pedigree on the right side of the page).
During one of Maria's trip to Moscow she collected Nicole and brought her to our house in Linköping. This was the first long distance trip of Nicole including flight and she arrived quite stressed. Since she attracted a lot of attention of the kids Nicole had only one desire - to hide. She turned out to be extremely efficient in it. The first week she was hiding so well that a couple of times we thought that she escaped the house and was somewhere on the way to the cattery in Moscow. Finally after a couple of weeks she started getting used to the new house and our family started to learn about our new family member.
Nicole participated in a couple of exhibitions in Sweden and got two CACs. Since during summer 2014 one more boy was born in our family we couldn't actively proceed with cats exhibitions. Nicole was definitely not enjoying these events so we decided that just a happy cat will be enough for us. Nicole's life in our place was a much more normal cat life than in Moscow. During summer time she spends lots of time outdoors watching wildlife and taking part in it. Despite her high pedifree, very delicate and refined behaviour indoors Nicole turned out to be a very efficient hunter. We started receaving her trophies, which she started to bring on regular basis. At certain point we decided to put a bell on the collar to reduce the danger for birds.
